In 2007, a defendant placed a search, using the keyword “Pralinen” (German for “truffles”).
This option suggests further keywords; in the case at issue, inter alia, the keyword “most pralinen”. Therefore, if users entered “MOST Pralinen” into the search field, the following advertisement appeared : “Pralinen/Weine, Pralinen, Feinkost, Präsente/Genießen und schenken!/www.feinkost-geschenke.de.” [German for “Truffles/Wines, Truffles, delicatessen products, presents/to enjoy and to present!/www.feinkost-geschenke.de“).
There are three main types of Praline/Truffles Chocolate:
Belgian pralines, which consist of a chocolate shell with a softer, sometimes liquid filling, traditionally made from various combinations of hazelnuts, almonds, sugar, syrup and often milk-based pastries. These high-fat, low-melting chocolates are at the luxury end of Belgian chocolate and represent an important product of many Belgian chocolates.
French pralines, a strong combination of almonds and caramelized sugar.
American pralines, a softer and gentler combination of syrup and pecans, hazelnuts or almonds with milk or cream, resembles fudge.
